Filtered Coffee

Filtered coffee is also known as drip brew coffee. This type of coffee involves brewing coffee by pouring water in a filter containing roasted coffee beans. You will get filtered coffee when the water reaches the bottom of the filter by absorbing the essences and oils present in the coffee.

The procedure for making filtered coffee is extremely easy. The water filter pitcher should be filled with tap water till it fills the coffee pot. The filter is then totally filled with water. Then you should take the amount of coffee beans you wish to make coffee with. Place those coffee beans in the coffee grinder. The filter basket of the coffee maker should be opened and then the coffee filter should be placed in the compartment. The coffee pot should be filled with filtered water.

There are different methods of preparing filtered coffee. One of the easiest methods of preparing filtered coffee is given by French biggin. Two cylindrical tin vessels are present in the French biggin. They are known as the coarser and the strainer. Strainer forms the bottom vessel and coarser the upper vessel.

Strainer is placed on the coarser with the help of a rod that is running from the center. In this the coffee that is finely grounded is poured. The other strainer is placed on the rod. Hot water is poured on the upper strainer. This water will pass through the strainer filtering the coffee through the strainers reaching the bottom. The coffee will thus be filtered. You will have a delicious filtered coffee.

You can have different varieties of filtered coffee with the help of different types of coffee beans. They include French vanilla, chocolate raspberry, Irish crème and hazelnut.
